So this event is supposed to be the world before the regular story, right? Like many of the characters are visibly younger. If this is the case, why do Lenny and Morgan die?

They are both alive in the regular story. While it's pretty funny that Lenny dies to Lotus twice, it doesn't make any sense. I am very confused.
